My computer came with 3 Dell cd's.  Do I copy all of those to the c:\dist.. or whatever folder? (I will get the actual name of it when I do it).  I want to create an unattended xp installation disk because I am blind and a screen reader is not initially available when using the restore cd.'s

I think your CD's have only OEM version of Windows. In our case you must have original Windows CD/DVD. If you have this disk - copy it on your hard drive.

Will an upgrade cd work or does it need to be the full version?

I don't now what disks do you have. If one of these disk have original Windows installation kit - you may use it.

You should backup your files to a flash drive at least. Maybe burn them to CD or DVD in the future so you have backups.
